Had day surgery on ward 12 today at FGH, I can't praise the staff highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained well and the ward was spotless. Thank you so much for your care.
The emergency response from our 999 call was fast and reassuring. Passage through A and E on arrival was smooth and efficient. I was taken to ward 7 where l had excellent care followed by an overnight stay. I was able to return home the following day. The staff on ward 7 were fantastic, very proficient in their work, friendly and caring. In fact from the reception desk through waiting area to the ward itself ran like a well-oiled machine. Excellent!I also want to state that l wish also to congratulate Fairfield Hospital on their cleanliness. This hospital is spotless.
Caring and hard working nurses in the E.D. who have to work with abusive drunks and drug addicts as well as patients who are genuinely ill (not self-inflicted);so try not to take it out on them(the nurses) if you are waiting ages - it's not their fault! Kk :-)
Rude consultants. No one ever reads your records. Unhelpful and patronising. Can be dismissive and arrogant no apologies for waiting over an hour. Don't read your notes! Don't explain things to you, dismissive. Unable to constantly be able to park. I find the admin staff rude. Also the nurses seem to sit around gossiping and passing dispatriaging comments about patients.
What lovely staff you all are on ward 12 , very friendly and approachable even though you all seem extremely busy , I hope you're all appreciated because I appreciated each and every one of you , keep up the great work , people like you lot are what makes the nhs so great x
