Bought an expensive Cube electric bike with Nuvinci automatic system a couple of years back. The gear became stuck in highest gear and bike was left at the shop for nearly 2 months at the end of 2018. Had to call them 6 times to find out what was happening as they never gave any updates. Finally, adding insult to injury, they claimed they couldn't fix it and I needed to find my own solution with Cube. Don't buy from a company that sells goods they can't fix. I would not give this company any stars if there was a choice and hope other people who are reading this don't fall into the trap.
Staff are full of knowledge and very helpful when it comes to choosing a good bike. Sadly the bike which I got (a brand new Specialized Stuntjumper Evo) had contaminated discs and pads. I had to buy new pads and spend hours degreasing my rotors. My headset has also come loose after 2 weeks of riding so I'm waiting for the replacement headset to arrive. Now my frame has developed a clicking noise near the swing arm when the rear suspension moves. The gears have also been really clunky and catching onto random cogs whilst shifting. So far I've been quite disappointed considering I've only had the bike for around 3 weeks. At this pace I feel like I'm going to have to replace the whole bike.(Quick Edit) The bike is being full replaced by Specialized due to the headset tube being ovalized. Hoping there are no further issues once the bike gets replaced next week.(Edit V2)The bike has been fully replaced and the bike is now functioning correctly. I had to adjust the derailleur due to the limit screws not being setup correctly. But after doing that everything was perfect. I guess the lesson is be careful when buying display bikes.
Brilliant service every time. Very helpful and a good range of bikes. Would definatly recommend!
If Cooksons had the bike I wanted in stock then I'd have gladly paid a little more to buy it from them as they are polite and knowledgeable, but if you like being condescended to by surly teenagers then go to Leisure Lakes. In fairness the range of bikes and kit is good, but the customer service is amongst the worst I've ever experienced.
Fantastic help from the staff, went in to look at eBike, came out with a Cube Stereo 160, the lads set up the suspension there and then, absolutely delighted with it. As a past enduro (motorcycle) rider, and now getting on a bit, this has totally opened my eyes to the fun to be had on an eMTB. Many thanks chaps..
