Went in today for lunch, I had the farmhouse pate and it wasnt homemade but it was top quality my only complaint is there was too much pate and not enough toast so give more toast or less pate, but the best was yet to come... I had the roast beef Sunday dinner and my husband had the chicken Sunday lunch, OMG absolutely beautiful, good quality food and at a great price. Ive been a chef for 30 plus years and I couldnt find fault. The barmaid and serving staff were wonderful. Definitely going to make this our go to pub.
Great Sunday tea. Well made good quality food served quickly. If going peak times, reserve a table. Always a good choice of beers kept well. The original real ale pub in Rochdale that set the quality level that has probably led to the range of excellent pubs in Rochdale today. Always worth a visit if you are in Rochdale.
A great place, i brought my akita 'Tia' for a steak as it was her birthday(9) and customers children were bringing their meat scraps to give her. As the Baum has a great area to sit outside (closed off) the children were throwing my dogs ball and having a good time as well!!!
Amazing. Went there tonight with family. Ordered some delicious food, some very tasty drinks. Huge selection of beers from all over the world. Nice cost surroundings, good facilities and friendly staff. Can't rate highly enough!
Good selection of ales if that's what you like. Great wine selection, great setting, a bit like stepping back in time.Great food at reasonable prices served by friendly and professional staff. I'd been to see performances of short plays written by local writers who attended a workshop just the day before. Many of whom hadn't written anything before. It's great that the Baum host such things. Free to watch too. Ps I am very tempted by their Christmas menu... A fair distance from my house but it looks great
