This is one of my favourite saunas throughout the UK. It is such a friendly place and I always enjoy my time there.The place itself is a bit basic with a sauna and steam room and various restrooms. There's also a TV lounge where meals are served. These are home-cooked, delicious and fantastic value. Where every other sauna sells cold drinks at a1 to 1.20, here you can buy one for 80p. The entrance fee is one of the cheapest in the whole of UK and has been 10 for many years. You have to remember that this place is only open on Sunday, Monday Wednesday and Friday - so don't make the mistake of coming on another day. Furthermore, it is best if you get there as near to the opening time of 11am as possible as the majority of the guys visit the place around this time and after 3 o'clock the numbers dwindle. Parking is available in neighbouring streets or you can catch the Metrolink tram and get off at Shaw and Crompton. This is not the place for you if you are looking superb spa facilities or a young crowd.
