I first came to this church several years ago as a 'refugee' from Oldham. The welcome is always warm, and I was thoroughly impressed by the choir - so much so that I joined it! The worship style is fairly formal without being Anglo Catholic, with a thriving Sunday School who join in at the end of the service to share with us all what they've been doing, so the last hymn is usually one to which they can bang and rattle various instruments.The hall is well used, and the church is blessed with some very good cooks. Keep an eye out for the banquets, usually at the end of November and the beginning of December - good fun, good food, a reasonable price and very popular. Definitely not 'churchy'!We aren't perfect (who is?), but we try our best and have fun while we're trying.
